Privacy Policy
Effective June 22, 2026
The Culture Says (the “app”) is published by Kith to Kin Collective (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what the app collects, why, and the choices you have. We built the app to be playable without accounts or personal sign-up, and we keep what we collect to the minimum the game needs.
What we collect
- An anonymous device ID. When you open the app it signs in anonymously through Firebase Authentication. This creates a random identifier tied to your install — not to your name, email, or any account.
- Things you choose to submit. If you send a survey answer, suggest a prompt, or send feedback, we store that text. Each submission is saved with the app version, the anonymous device identifier, and the date, so we can review submissions and improve future question packs.
- Purchases. Expansion packs and ad removal are sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Those stores process the payment; we receive only confirmation of what was unlocked. We never see your card or billing details.
- On-device settings. Your team names, timer, sound, and which items you’ve purchased are stored on your device so the game remembers them. This stays on the device.
Advertising
Unless you purchase ad removal, the app shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use a mobile advertising identifier to serve and measure ads. You can limit ad tracking in your device settings, and buying ad removal turns ads off entirely. See Google’s advertising policy for details.
What we don’t collect
We don’t ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or precise location. We don’t sell your data.
Service providers
We rely on a few trusted services to run the app:
- Google Firebase — anonymous sign-in and storage of question packs and submissions.
- Google AdMob — advertising.
- Apple and Google Play — app distribution and purchases.
Children
The Culture Says is intended for players 18 and older and is not directed to children. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep submitted answers, suggestions, and feedback for as long as they’re useful for improving the game. Because submissions are tied to an anonymous device identifier rather than your identity, we may need that identifier to locate your data. To ask what we hold or to request deletion, contact us at the address below.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the effective date above and post the new version here. Significant changes will be noted in the app or on this page.
